Glowmax trials engineers check list

These lists show what the engineers checked in the regular inspections during our consumer field trial.

At 3 months

• Flame stability: shape & colour
• Appliance components condition, in general:
• Combustion noise characteristics acceptable?
• Temperature stable?
• Soot levels - higher, lower or similar to normal levels?
• Smoke test (where possible)
• CO2 flue reading (where possible)
• Oil tank capacity:
• Oil tank current oil contents:
• Confirm oil tank dipped for water presence:
• Depth of water layer (mm) [if detected]:
• Confirm water layer siphoned out:
• Date of last oil delivery:
• Oil sample visual clarity?
• Oil sample particulates visible?
• Confirm photograph taken of sample
• If unsatisfactory visual oil checks confirm oil sample taken:
• Any other comments - engineer
• Any other comments - customer

At 6 months

• Flame stability: shape & colour
• Appliance components condition, in general:
• Combustion noise characteristics acceptable?
• Temperature stable?
• Soot levels - higher, lower or similar to normal levels?
• Are there any blockages?
• Are the burner components in good condition? (no distortion to the sleeves or vaporising chamber cover)
• Smoke test (where possible)
• Co2 flue reading (where possible)
• Oil tank capacity:
• Oil tank current oil contents:
• Confirm oil tank dipped for water presence:
• Depth of water layer (mm) [if detected]:
• Confirm water layer siphoned out:
• Date of last oil delivery:
• Oil sample visual clarity?
• Oil sample particulates visible?
• Confirm photograph taken of sample
• If unsatisfactory visual oil checks confirm oil sample taken:
• Confirm photographs taken of components
• Any other comments - engineer
